Whether you\u2019re into period dramas, mysteries, or a good old-fashioned high school dance series, we\u2019ve got you covered for new shows to watch for hours at a time. Check out the best shows to binge-watch this winter below. <\/span> <\/b><\/p>\n

1. Bridgerton<\/span><\/h2>\n

Grey\u2019s Anatomy and Scandal fans, rejoice\u2014the latest offering from Shonda Rhimes premiered on Netflix on Christmas Day. \u2018<\/span>Bridgerton<\/span><\/a>\u2019 is a glossy Regency romance that tells the story of the British nobility\u2019s marriage market and the lengths that high society will go to make the \u2018right\u2019 match. The drama features a diverse cast and explores more than your standard period piece, including female sexuality, masculinity, and faking a relationship to get your parents off your back about getting married. It\u2019s the perfect way to take a break from the January gloom, if only for a few hours.  <\/span><\/p>\n

Watch this if you\u2019re a fan of \u2018Scandal\u2019, \u2018Grey\u2019s Anatomy\u2019, \u2018How to Get Away With Murder\u2019 or any Shondaland dramas. It\u2019s being toted as \u2018Downton Abby\u2019 meets \u2018Gossip Girl\u2019 (but with even more steamy scenes). <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

2. The Wilds<\/span><\/h2>\n

Do your tastes run darker than corsets and ball gowns? If so, try \u2018<\/span>The Wilds<\/span><\/a>.\u2019 This teen drama follows a group of girls stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. It’s part ‘Lost,’ part ‘Lord of the Flies.’ You\u2019ll follow the characters with bated breath as they band together (and betray each other) in a drama that\u2019s full of twists, turns and secrets. \u2018The Wilds\u2019 premiered in December 2020 on Amazon, so start watching!<\/span><\/p>\n

Watch this if you\u2019re a fan of teen dramas. Think \u2018Pretty Little Liars\u2019 crossed with \u2018Lost.\u2019<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

3. Equinox<\/span><\/h2>\n

One of the best series to binge-watch this winter is another dark whodunit, but Scandi-style.<\/span> Equinox<\/span><\/a> is part mystery, all thriller. In 1999, 21 high school graduates vanished completely. Twenty years later, the secrets of what happened surface. Why did they disappear? You’ll have to watch and find out. Equinox premiered on Netflix on 30<\/span>th<\/span> December. <\/span><\/p>\n

Watch this if you\u2019re into dark thrillers\u2014it has major overtones of \u2018Dark,\u2019 ‘The Killing,\u2019 and ‘Midsommar.\u2019<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

4. Tiny Pretty Things<\/span><\/h2>\n

Who doesn\u2019t love a bit of drama <\/span>en pointe<\/span><\/i>? This show follows a dancer from the wrong-side-of-the-tracks, Neveah, as she navigates The Archer School of Ballet, an elite ballet academy.<\/span> \u2018<\/span>Tiny Pretty Things<\/span><\/a>\u2019 details every bit of drama as dancers <\/span>pli\u00e9<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>relev\u00e9 <\/span><\/i>themselves to stardom\u2014or obscurity. Recently deceased dancer Cassie Shore is the source of the drama; who killed her, and why? This show premiered in December and is now streaming on Netflix, so check it out for all the dance-related drama. <\/span><\/p>\n

Watch this if you’re a former dancer or really liked \u2018Gossip Girl\u2019 or \u2018Pretty Little Liars.\u2019 This dark teen drama will keep you riveted as long as you\u2019re willing to suspend reality for a few hours.<\/span><\/i> <\/span><\/p>\n

5. Emily in Paris<\/span><\/h2>\n

The perfect way to cure your wanderlust,<\/span> \u2018<\/span>Emily in Paris<\/span><\/a>\u2019 is technicolour fun\u2014and one of the best shows to binge-watch. This series follows American Emily as she navigates a job in a French public relations firm. Juggling work and so many potential love interests it might give you whiplash, this series is like a macaron\u2014light, airy, and over before you know it. <\/span><\/p>\n

Watch this if you were a fan of ‘Sex and the City\u2019 or \u2018Younger\u2019\u2014or you need to pretend like you’re in Paris for a day.  <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

6. Lupin<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u2018<\/span>Lupin<\/span><\/a>\u2019 is a French fantasy adventure series. The story follows Assane Diop, a Louvre janitor who makes a remarkable discovery. Diop finds a book about Arsene Lupin, which has the power to grant incredible resources. Follow Diop as he uses the book to get revenge on the wealthy family who killed his father. This show premieres on 8<\/span>th<\/span> January, so be sure to put a reminder in your calendar!<\/span><\/p>\n
